Our Current Services

The Fairbanks currently serves as a hub for youth and adult education classes through Missouri Mentoring Partnership and Northwest Project; quality early childhood education through Life 360 Family Services; financial education through local bank partnerships; and food access through Springfield Community Gardens and Ozarks Food Harvest. Social enterprise is being made possible through a community kitchen and other agri-business support. Additional services include: food pantry, diaper bank, and Springfield Brewing Company Bike Shop.

Life 360 Preschool

A Lighthouse Preschool is provided on site. The preschool, run through Life 360 Church, provides services for children birth through age five, Monday through Friday. To find out more about services, contact Liz Hahn at (417)755-7404 or check out their Facebook page.

Community Dinner

Every Thursday at 5:15 PM, dinner and programming are hosted at The Fairbanks.  Classes and resources are focused on the needs of families in northwest Springfield. The goal is to build strong families by offering family support activities to parents, guardians, and youth.

Every Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, the Fairbanks offers adult education classes. Each week will be a different topic. For more information, please contact us or check out the calendar for schedule details.

We welcome everyone interested in making Springfield a better place to live.

Diaper & Hygiene Kits

rrar

Fairbanks receives diapers from the Diaper Bank and hygiene kits from Convoy of Hope and other community resources. Families can receive up to 50 diapers per month.  Education and engagement are encouraged to receive resources.  Additionally, food and hygiene kits are available to those who attend programs.

Springfield Brewing Company Bike Shop

The SBC Athletics Bike Repair and Rental Shop at the Fairbanks is intended to help kids with basic repair and biking skills, as well as adults with transportation issues. The shop is open Wednesdays (6-8 pm) during the months of April through September. The shop is a combined community effort to offer sustainable transportation in the form of a bike shop rental for residents in the Grant Beach Neighborhood.

Coming Soon

Look forward to the new coffee shop and library, tutoring lab, laundromat, screen printing shop, sewing and alterations, community classroom, and multimedia arts.
